The Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF) organises Understanding Sex Education 2026 and is the data controller for personal data collected through this event website.

What we collect

Name, contact details, affiliation, registration and payment records, abstract and sponsorship submissions, and session attendance.

Why we use it

To manage registration, review abstracts, process sponsorship, issue CPD certificates and send event communications.

Sharing

Data is shared only with service providers who help run the event and is never sold.

Retention & your rights

Data is kept for 3 years after the event. You may request access, correction or deletion by emailing privacy@tifeducation.org (GDPR).

Accommodation Rules

A valid ID proof is required for all guests at the time of check-in.

Rooms are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis unless pre-booked.

Any damage to hotel property will be charged to the guest.

Guests are requested to maintain cleanliness and respect shared spaces.

Outside visitors may be restricted as per hotel guidelines.

Noise levels should be kept minimal after 10 PM.
